Lately

I have not updated in awhile.

I am currently applying to the School of Visual Arts in New York City.  The statement of intent is....intense.  This is what I have so far:

Through photography, my goal is to help the world visualize humanity's story in the media avenues of fashion, music, and photojournalism.  Each photograph I take holds a story,  and to be a professional photographer in any of these areas would mean being able to tell the story of this generation's culture, events, and trends.

The Ballad of KP

Here, we meet a young man by the name of KP.  Destiny have this simple man embark on a quest he would never forget: the journey for the patch of blue.

KP and his village were covered in clouds since he could remember.  Since his childhood he had heard rumors of the patch of blue; an opening in the clouds that brought the sunlight.  The village council searched for a hero that would bring back the patch of blue.

The village council chose KP for his agility, bravery, and creativity.  This would be a dangerous journey.  He had to first travel through the Land of Pay-Phones.

Once KP resisted the calls of the pay-phones, he was finally able to answer the call of his belly.  In a clearing he found a house.  He opened the door in search of something to eat.

Once inside, KP found a plate of food on a table.  He quickly ate, hoping to relieve his hunger.  A few minutes later, the room started to spin, colors began to wash the walls, and his vision became blurry.  The last thing he remembered was beautiful women emerging from the mirrior and began to dance all around him.

KP awoke by an unfamiliar feeling: warmth on his face.  He opened his eyes, looked into a reflection in a building, and saw that glorious shade of blue.

When KP returned to his village, his friends and neighbors rejoiced.  Not only did he survive the journey, he brought back the patch of blue.
