I recently moved into an apartment in an area called Golden Hill, directly in the shadow of downtown San Diego. It is a historic neighborhood dating back to the 1800's. It is culturally and architecturally diverse, with stately Victorian mansions that stand next to improvised looking homesteads. It is a neighborhood where Spanish-speaking families walk along side young artists, musicians, and hipsters. Golden Hill is dotted with local markets and small businesses. I am so grateful to reside in such a unique location of San Diego.
